Nigerian Security Sector Personnel/Professionals Delegation to the United Kingdom

Threats to lives and properties in Nigeria have been a major challenge for individuals and organisations across the Nation. With kidnapping on the rise, oil theft that cost the nation millions, boko haram insurgence, politically motivated assassination, and destructions of lives and properties, there is a great need for enhanced capacities for security personnel and professionals to enable the confront the continue rise of insecurity.
In light of this, a delegation of Nigerian security sector professional and personnel’s would be visiting the United Kingdom on a capacity building delegation to learn best practises and participate in training and development sessions to enhance their skills and capacities.
The sessions would offer information and insight into Protective Security, Surveillance Detection, Infrastructure Protection, Threat Assessment and Risk Management, Venue based security, Operational Planning and Order, Overt and Covert Surveillance, Search techniques, post search procedures, conflict management model etc.
The exchange program would provide an alliance among security professionals to foster the exchange of knowledge and ideas and engage the delegates in discussions the areas of focus. It will also provide a platform to equip and offer the delegates a broader knowledge of domestic and global routine security operations, high risk environment protection, basic marksmanship, weapons handling and safety skills among others.
Delegates will also be engaged in different training sessions and workshops, meetings with world-renowned experts, security specialists and professionals in areas of building and vehicle search procedures, threat and assessment, protocol and etiquette, protective services and security post operations. The delegates will partake in professional visits to top security agencies including Scotland Yard, MI5 and other UK leading security organisations.
The delegation will provide an atmosphere for intellectual growth for the delegates through intensive trainings from seasoned experts on various related security practices and procedures to empower them with the essential know-how for sound efficiency in their careers.
The exchange program is organised by Goldmere Consulting in strategic partnership with UKTI and powered by Amandla Consulting.
