With the rate of importation of agricultural produce into the Nigeria community, it is important for the Nigerian farmers to gain more knowledge and skill that will aid development in the sector.
The delegation sessions would offer information and insight into the deep-rooted technicalities, strategies and methods of agricultural system practices in the UK. They would also provide a ground platform for exchange opportunities and experiences, it would also serve as an avenue to broaden the knowledge of agricultural processes and production practices of delegates.
The delegation will help to provide practical advice, knowledge sharing and agricultural solutions to the Nigerian agricultural sector. To also provide a platform for discussion and viable options for utilising the UK agricultural sector in developing similar projects and business in Nigeria, to explore the possibilities of export and import opportunities, including the importation of British renovated and used farming equipment, the exportation of Nigerian produce, and the introduction possibilities of new breeds for commercial advantages from the UK. To offer an insight into modern UK farming and agric methods, agricultural niche business ideas this can be replicated in Nigeria.
In addition, the exchange program will cover trainings and discussions on agricultural entrepreneurship, offer ample and current information about the agro-economy, branding and packaging agricultural products to meet U.K. trade and export policies. Visits will also take place at agricultural institutes and establishments including universities and agriculture colleges to bring a unique adventure and cultural experience. Other sectors including Food and Beverage production, Farm and Construction machinery, Forestry, Textile industry and other agriculture related sectors can also be a part of the delegation.
Delegates will pay visit to farmlands in UK, organic and other growing sites producing produce for the local market, Agricultural show, and get a lot of trainings and workshops in the area of focus
Delegates also get to meet with various experts in the agricultural sector from the UK.
